NOVEMBER/DECEMBER..
11/12/01 Dear Friends, I thought I should let you know that throughout November the carp where still being taken from around the main lake and indeed just the other week Paul Wheeler and I fished for 2 days in less than perfect conditions and Paul caught a 33 pound mirror and for the second December in a row I lost a very good fish, still thats fishing for you - I will be back next December and catch a big December carp.

As for the ongoing developement at DDI our latest stocking has come up trumps with some beutifully scaled mirrors from a top quality source. We fully expect some of these fish, especially the larger specimens (upto 54 pounds), to become some of the prettiest large fish in France.

OCTOBER.
27/10/01 Dear Friends, we have been very busy of late but a quick update in that Phil Gregory caught a 55lb12oz mirror this month and returned the following weekend to catch a 46 ponder. I hope to have pictures very soon.

SEPTEMBER.
13/09/01 Dear Friends, very good news : At 7am.this morning from n°21, Mr Gareth JONES catch a 51lbs miror and several 30lbs +, Mr Reed n° 14 catch a 52lbs and 4 x 30lbs+ The Cannel 'Family at the Back Lake swim n°1, have in 5 days : 40 carp.

10/09/01 I have got off the phone to a very happy angler who has just banked a 53 pound mirror along with a 30 pound common 3 other thirties, 4 twenties and some smaller fish. Another angler has also banked a 43 pound mirror.

JULY.
23/0701 I have just got some news from Bernard that many thirty's came out last week including a common of 39 and three quarters to Jean Masters. This week more fish are coming out with the top 2 both going over forty pounds. A very big catfish was lost at the net as well so they are putting on the weight as we expected.

14/0701 The Carp are starting to get there heads down with many fish starting to get caught near the cabins and the south arm of the lake. A 53 pounder was caught by a French anglerin the main body of the lake last week and we are waiting for further details and pictures as he left before seeing Bernard.

JUNE.
25/06/01 Fairly quit this month but we have just got news that the NEW 1 hour DDI digital Video has now been completed and is ready for sale at a price of £15 inclusive of postage and packaging. The video is one of the few around where you will see carp to 60 pounds - yes 60 pounds captured on video with many fifties as well. 31/05/01 Since the last update the Browning Party finished with over 40 carp, 6 grass carp and a catfish.

12/05/01 I have just got back from a pleasure weekend with my son and father and just managed to catch a 31 pounder before the fish started to spawn in the main lake. My son caught some lovely rudd along with roach bream and an eel.

08/05/01 Hello Everybody, We had a nice week-end, no rain but a cold north wind. The fishing at the Back Lake was very good for Mr Hoppers party -6 anglers- fishing friday to monday- 33 Carp (31.12lbs and 29.14lbs). On the Main Lake Andrew Brighton had 2 personel best carp, 31 pound common and a 42 pound mirror.

APRIL.
27/04/01 news just in Jamie Scuza with a 'hat-trick' of species - 1 Grass Carp 19 lbs, 3 Cat Fish 12,13,16 lbs, 9 Miror Carp 48,5 lbs, 1 x 30, 4 x 20, 3 x doubles from the main lake. Since last Monday the back-lake has produced over 30 fish with the best 2 being over 30 pounds. Despite the flooding in the surrounding areas which has put a halt to many fisheries we are still open and going strong, TRUE - a report on the front page in a local paper (Le Courrier Picard) stated that they have seen some Carp in the Train'Station in Abbeville!!! - I bet you get some steaming runs from carp there (sorry).

23/04/01 Just received news of 4 carp caught in 4 hours fishing upto 28 pounds fishing from the Cabin swims.

19/04/01 I have just got back from a surprise last-minute trip to DDI with my wife and 2 young boys, I fished for 4 days and 6 nights and caught a double, a 26 and a 57lb carp which beat my best fish from Domaines by 4oz. The fish itself was 44 pounds 3/4 years ago and 49 pounds 2/3 years ago. I caught the fish out towards the willow from the lodge swim and the fish fell to mainlines active-8 boilies, with the hookbaits being dipped in guerl laboratoires 'sucre intense' flavour.

11/04/01 Paul Wheeler is at DDI this week and said that everything is fine, he just got some bait from Bernard and went shopping at the hypermarket when he got there for his dairy products and was set up and fishing when I spoke to him on his mobile last night.

The weather is still up and down but when the sun comes out the fishing picks up, one guy had a 20,30 and a 40 in one afternoon the other day as the sun shone through.

28/03/01 The first forty of the year was caught this morning at 40lb 2oz, following is part of an e-mail direct from Bernard:- Dear Paul David and Graham, The weather is very nice at Domaine des Iles (See the attache picture with a man in tee-shirt fishing from n°14). His brother Tony Bytheway from Birmingham catch a 40.2 Lbs the 26 of March at 4 pm. So everythings is possible. Le Domaine is open. We have no cattle in the village and we have good French food and baits available on the site. Please advise the rest of the world !! 27/03/01 I have just got back from DDI and allthough me, Paul and my dad only fished for about 20 hours we caught 11 carp, the rest of the weekend we watched the England match and once again had some stunning meals both at the restaurant and at Bernards.

14/03/01 A couple of dutch guys fished the main lake last week for 4 days with no joy and then moved onto the back lake for their last two days and banked 18 carp, the majority being low twenty pounders.
