2003 Results - 5 x 60lbs and many 50's .

Dec 2003. Domaine des iles wishes everybody a Merry X-Mas and a prosperous new year. The year has been rounded off with fish still being caught with the best being a 61lb 9oz mirror carp caught by Richard Piotrowski in early December.
Sep 2003. Hi to everyone, before I put the latest update up I have to say that the updates have been a bit sparse of late because my wife has been in hospital and she finally gave birth to a lovely daughter on the 7th September. Anyway prior to that bit of news we had an Angler called Robi Bevanda a memeber of the Carp Syndicate Switzerland catch a nice Miror Carp - 60lbs from LORIOT Cabin, just after half an hour after turning up the 5 September 2003. Another new bit of news is that when you are on the bankside if you fancy a chinese takeaway then for a minimum order of 50 €uros Bernard can ring the local chinese shop who will deliver your meal to Domaine des iles, ideal evening meals for 2 people.
Aug 2003. Just had news from Bernard that Brian Keane and his wife and son have caught 16 carp in the weekend to 46lbs. Keith Wainwright also caught 11 fish in the same weekend including a 32lb common, 27lb grass carp and catfish of 22lbs.
July 2003. I have just received an e-mail from Bernard and an extract is :-
"Good News.....
The Fishing is excellent.. !!
It's very hot, but this morning at 7.30am ...... 2 x 50lbs +.
- 1 x 50 lbs from the Lodge
- 1 x 53 lbs from the Cabin "Tarin"."
June 2003. Well June has almost been and gone and here an update sent in by Jean and Paul Masters and it goes as follows:- "June has been another good month at DDI with the beautiful veiw of many big carp spawning around the lake, due to the very hot teperatures. An English angler (Jim Silo) catching a 55lb mirror on his last morning after a long weekend. Another short stay group of 4 British anglers having 9 fish between them, with no fish under 20lbs, but with 2 just scraping 30lbs. Further down the lake a German angler went home very happy after catching 9 good fish, again nothing under 20lbs, this being a mixture of grass, mirrors and cat fish, which encluded a catfish of 28lbs and two 30lb plus mirror carp.
Paul and Jean Masters retuned to lake 19 for another three days and once again catching 7 commons and one mirror all in excellent condition, But with many very large carp being seen further down the lake. With this being our second trip to lake 19 all the commons and mirrors caught have a very British appearance ie with the mirrors being a very dark chocolate colour and the commons being very golden in colour.
Following this they returned back to DDI for 10 days, with Paul catching 18 fish which included 12 fish being over 20lbs plus. A grass carp of 26lbs 8oz and a 35lbs 8oz mirror. Jean however appears to be a dab hand at catching cat fish, having 3 of them all scrapping 20lb and a PB grass carp at 26lbs. However losing a very large carp in the early hours of the morning due to its speed and stregnth, it was impossible to stop.Alas the one that got away!
Just witnessed another British lad across the lake, with it being his first time on the lake catching a beautiful 30lbs plus common carp. Considering the weather has been very hot, this is a very impressive catch report

May 2003. Well April fished really well with lots of fish coming out all over the place, and it looks like May has started off the same, I have just had a report from Bernard that one angler has had 50 carp in 6 days, full details will appear when I receive them.

Apr 2003. The first of the stock fish have been caught by Paul Wheeler at 22lb, 28lb and 37lb mirror carp this coming on a very cold northerly wind from the lodge. Paul followed it up with 8 more fish over the following couple of days.
15th April - BRAND NEW SIXTY - One of our most promising up and coming carp has been landed at just over 60lbs last night, this fish was 44lbs 5 years ago and reached 57lbs 2 years ago, even then it looked that it would carry on growing and this was proved right last night. In addition to the 60, Carly Harts party went onto catch 46 carp in the week, 6 x 30 and a 48lb carp.
Jan Scuza and his son Jamie fished the back lake for 4 days and caught 46 carp including several thirties.
Another 50 has come from the lodge this month as well.

Mar 2003. The first client of the year, David Mitton, has arrived and within 10 minutes caught this lovely conditioned 37lb mirror carp, he then proceeded to catch a 23lb mirror and a 28lb mirror within the first 24 hours. The next day he caught 5 carp of 20lb, 23lb, 26lb common carp, 34lb mirror carp and another 20+. This morning he caught another fish, what will he catch later today? One more smaller fish before going home.
I managed 36 hours fishing the other day and after a lot of interence from the bream and tench finally managed to beat my p.b. common by 2 lbs with this cracking fish of 35lb 8oz.
26/03/03 - On Monday We have stocked : - 107 carp up to 40lbs in the Main Lake and 30 carp between 15 and 25 in the Back Lake.
