we caught 16 fish in total 38lb mirror largest all over 20lb 32lb grass carp 33lb cat. 8 fish over 30lb. the two boys where a bit excited to start as it was there first trip, hope they where not to loud.you have a great place. can I book for next year last week july or 1st week aug 2006 getting pics done soon. If i have time i would like to come over for a short break in a month or so with my partner in a lodge.

"Hi Bernard, Just wanted to let you know that after your last visit to our peg (No.s 14 & 15) the fishing went berserk. I think it was something to do with the weather changing and the heavy rains. Anyhow i caught 14 fish in total, you will find the catch list below.
40lb common, 35lb mirror, 34lb mirror, 31lb mirror, 30lb grass carp, 29lb mirror,
3 x 27lb mirror,
3 x 26lb mirrors,
26lb grass carp,
21lb catfish.

Dear Mr & Mrs Caron, Thank you for your hospitality last weekend. We had a great stay and I am glad to say that the fishing was superb although the carp-fishing was rather slow due to the hot weather. Nevertheless we were able to land this 30lbs beauty... Hi Bernard The Grass carp are all 30s to 32lb8oz and the mirrors are 28lb8oz and 36lb12oz PB to Mick (mad dog) Paine. All the best John. |
An angler known as Mark on 23 June 2005 at 10.00 am caught this 49.8lbs mirror.

Very Good News........ Today at 8.44 am....... 52lbs Mirror From Swim 20 and the left bank So far in 5 days they have 46 fish including lots of 30lbs +.

23/05/2005 - news just in of 2 forties from the main lodge yesterday topped by a 48 pound common. Another angler banked a 52 pounder this week but as yet no photos. "Hi Bernard, Just another thankyou for a great fortnight, please find attached the photos you requested of my 43, look forward to seeing you next year. Last week in April 1st week in May. BE LUCKY RON BUSS"
15/05/2005 - Another 49 pounder from the cabins yesterday, and I have just had a call from Paul telling me that a fish has just come out at 62 pounds from the main lodge.
14/05/2005 - A cracking 46 pound common carp was banked today, click here to see the picture.
11/05/2005 - "Hi Dave, Cheers for the reply. We got back from DDI on Friday afternoon. Had a wicked time. we all had a few fish and all had at least one over 30lbs. my mate tony who has e mailed you a few times fished little britain and had a load of fish. he was well chuffed. thanks for all your help. 09/05/2005 - 100 fish last week on the Main Lake and 40 minimum at the Back Lake including a lots of 40..... Hi Bernard, I fished in the lorin cabin with my friend last week, we have 8 fish in all, we had a 34.5lb, 30lb and 6 20's. We also had those 3 fish at once when the TV crew came round. I've attached some pictures if you wanted to put us on your website on the updates. Thanks for a great weeks fishing see you next year. > Steve K 04/05/2005 - I have just got back from DDI with my mate Mark and we fished "little britain" and caught 40 fish in the weekend with mirrors up to 33 pounds and commons to 31 pounds. Paul Wheeler fished 2 nights on the square pool and had 2 thirty pound commons and 4 twenties. Everyone else caught fish around the lake as well. Bob Broomsgrove fished the back lake lodge and caught lots of carp including this 40lb common.

18/04/2005 - This weekend has been one for the younger anglers, with "little" dirk van dyke (no relation to the actor) catching a brace of forties weighing in at 44 pounds and 48 pounds from the main lake cabins. Over on the new lodge at the back lake, I fished with my son Danny for a total of 43 hours and we caught 35 fish, Danny caught 8 PB's during the time with mirrors to 24lb 3oz, commons to 20lb 2oz and a grass carp of 20lb 8oz, whilst Paul caught a 35lb common, a 30lb mirror and a 28 pounder.
09/04/2005 " Hello Mr:Caron, I send you the pics for you to see, I was on your lake the last week with my wife and it was a fantastic week, we caught 16 carps from 24 german pounds to 41 german pounds and my wife also caught a catfish off 1meter47. 08/03/2005 Just got word that over 100 carp have been caught from the main lake last week, more details soon.
A few guys in the main lodge have had 15 carp this weekend, this morning they caught 4 to 41 pounds, I should have the pictures soon. Also the Lodge at the back lake has now been built and is ready for bookings. |
Early days of the season and during the mild spell quite a few thirties have been gracing the nets of the carp company guys . Jean & Paul Masters have been catching as well with 6 fish, 3 of which where over 30.
Lake 31 and 40 have now been sold. |

12/01/2005 - We will be having a brand new lodge to be opened for April 1st 2005 which is going to be situated on the back lake. The Lodge is a double storey cabin with all modern conveniences and can sleep upto 8 people. It is possible to hire the lodge and the back lake for exclusive use for up to 4 fishermen, if a party of 5 or 6 people wish to hire the exclusive use then that is possible with the additional cost of the carp fishing for the extra people. Myself and Graham ,had a fantastic time at DDI last July and not only did we enjoy new personal best fish each but we fell in love with your lake and the relaxed yet very professional way it is run by yourself ,the complex that you call home is simply perfect and probably every carp anglers dream. Your hospitality was appreciated by all of us and I think you enjoyed the fact that you had 4 English men sitting in your conservatory who in a few minutes went from being merrily triumphant to quietly subdued .
