Whe have cathing 8 carps and 3 catfish.
Whe had also nice mirror carps from 35lb en 36lb
And I send you a picture from 2 years ago from the mainlake, i catching a beatyfull koi carp of 13lb

We never got to say goodbye on Saturday and to say thanks for another successful trip – whilst the fishing was poor in swim 13 the move to join Andy in 12 for the last night paid off and I landed this 34lb mirror however whilst we were photographing this fish Andy caught this stunning 47.08lb common and then 40 minutes later added a 31lb mirror.
All in all we had a good time with some 7 fish but we lost more than we caught – this has not deterred us and we are looking at coming back TWICE next year.

Hello Bernard I forgot to give you the sizes common 37lb 7oz,mirror 51lb 12oz my 3rd fifty was the same fish my son Edward caught at 46lb 4 years ago so its increase by 6lbs in 4 years,Regards Brian.

Hi David We have just returned from another great time on the back lake. Here are a few details.Martin, Glen and I ( Keith ) fished from June 22nd to 26th and in spite of the weather ( it rained every day ) and the water temperature which dropped 6 degrees during our stay, we caught 29 fish with an average weight of over 21 lb.We caught 26 carp and 3 small catfish with the largest carp weighing 35lb and 30.5lb ( both mirrors ).The largest common went 28lb with several over 24lb. I have just returned from yet another successful session on the back lake (swim 1 & 2 on 20th - 23rd July 07) This is my fourth visit & I aim to return again in September.
Within an hour of arrival I had a double take & landed 2 fish, the first being 29lb 8 oz & the other 19lb 8oz. I also had a double take on the final day too!
I caught 15 Carp in total & 3 Bream, not to mention the 10 or so Carp I lost!
Here is the catch list in order of capture; 29lb 2oz Mirror, 19lb 8oz Mirror, 15lb 12 oz Grass Carp, 20lb 4oz Common, 4lb 4oz Bream, 4lb 3oz Bream, 19lb 10oz Common, 16lb 2 oz Mirror, 17lb 10oz Mirror, 23lb Grass Carp, 27lb 6oz Mirror, 15lb 12oz Mirror, 3lb 8oz Bream, 20lb Common, 15lb 4oz Common, 21lb 12oz Common, 20lb Common & 22lb 4oz Grass Carp. Total weight = 314lb 8oz.
I enclose a few photographs of the 'better' fish which may be of interest.

Report from the Main Lodge from Mario FRANCK
this angler from last week catch :
16 fish including 9 x 15 kilos up to 19,6 kilos + 1 x 24,3 kilos
Mario has fish Domaine des Iles for the last 5 years and will come back again September for 2 weeks and October for 1 week.
More details and update on the Website soon.
A few spaces available in july and august.
Both Lodge will be open during the winter.

Lynn and Paul Wheeler spend 1 week at DDI on the back lake from 24/5 – 1/6. Only fishing for 4 days and 3 nights they managed 39 fish for 838 lbs. Finishing with 16 doubles, 18 twenties and 5 thirties.

Sorry for the delay in sending you Mike Duffins picture - I have been away for a few weeks. Anyway, here it is, our first and biggest fish of the trip at 48lb, caught within hours of arriving on 30th March.

Attached are the photos from our very enjoyable week. I only managed to catch 4 fish and lost 4, of which one was another big fish. But 3 of the fish I caught were over forty pounds the biggest being a new PB for me - a 57lb mirror! We all had such a good time staying in the lodge that hopefully we will be back next May. I must thank you for your advice, otherwise I would not have caught the 57lb mirror. You suggested that I put a bait into one of the channels and that night the line shot off my bait runner and I landed the 57lb mirror. Many thanks Bernard, Ant,Jeanette and Aidan Fowell

Attached are the photos from our very enjoyable weekend (I will be sending more on another email). We managed 14 fish in total including 1 small cat, 2 grass carp up to 31lb and 11 carp. Only 4 carp were under 30lb and one, caught by Wayne, exceeded 51lb! We had an excellent weekend all beating previous PBs. In fact we had such a good time we are trying to persuade our wives to let us out again in October! The chances are though that we will be back next spring. It is worth mentioning that without Nathan’s help and advice (and his bait boat. Ours broke) we would not have found the fish so quickly; Wayne had his 37 and 51 within 4 hours of arriving! You have a beautiful lake full of beautiful fish.

Good morning Bernard,
As promised please find attached some photos of the best of the fish I caught over the weekend. As you know we dropped into swims 14-15 following my friends Geoff and Sell who had been in there for a week. We had a lot to live up to as Geoff had had the first 60lb Catfish out and also a 50lb Mirror. The fishing was a little hard going and patchy, a result of very hot weather during the day and cold nights. The fish didnt seem to know weather to spawn or not, but keeping baits tight to the far bank margins and fishing very light with bait, I managed to catch 15 over the 3 days and only drop 4. The smallest carp I had was 22.10, it included 3 thirty pound Mirrors (photos supplied, 32,32 and 34) Grass Carp to 26.7 (photo supplied) and a lifetime quest fulfilled of catching a 47.10 Common Carp (photo supplied) an absolute stunning fish as the photo reflects. My friend Dave had 6 and dropped 3, the best being a personal best 36.10 Mirror and a 32.07 Grass Carp. He also had a 36.0 Catfish. The fish were all in excellent condition and all gave very hard fights. Thanks for providing an excellent facility. Rest assured we will be back again next year.

Well DDI is open again for the year and myself and Paul decided to take a quick spur of the moment trip over for the weekend just gone and we fished the weekend at the back lake lodge and allthough still quite cold we managed to bank 11 carp between us up to 40lb 8oz. |
We enquired about lakes for sale with Bernard Caron in late October 2006. We have now in January 2007 completed the purchase of “Lac Albert”, which is situated 1½ hours from Calais .
Bernard’s hospitality is second to none; we hired the back lodge at Domaine Des Iles whilst we were waiting for our lake purchase to go through the formalities. We fished the back lodge lake for 3 weeks and the total fish caught was 92, weight ranging from mid 20lbs to high 40lbs, so we had a very enjoyable time.
Bernard’s in depth knowledge of local areas and his assistance have proved invaluable and we would highly recommend his services to anyone wishing to purchase a lake.
