1998 Results - 20 x 50lbs and 72 x 40lbs carp Landed. This page is new so I shall detail a few catches that I know off over the last couple of months:-                            In September I caught 14 fish in 6 days consisting of 1 x 40+, 3 x 30+, 9 x 20+ and a double.              A few weeks later 2 guys fished for  7 days and had a 25 fish catch which consisted of 2 x 50+, 6 x 40+, 6 x 30+, 9 x 20+ and 2 doubles.              In the last week of October, John Lilley arrived at the lake for a 48 hour session and caught 9 fish which consisted of 1 x 41lb mirror, 2 x 30+ mirrors, 3 x 20+ mirrors, 1 x 25lb common and a double.  He must have enjoyed himself because a few weeks later he was back and in 10 hours added fish of 41+, 52+ and 58+.               Well what can I say, January 31st and the new day was warming up from a night of -5 degrees.  Paul Wheeler was over the moon with a 35.8lbs mirror and was not really expecting much more from the last night, indeed we where almost contemplating going home early when Bernard said he thought we should stick it out the last night as he was expecting a large fish out soon and the weather was looking good for the swim we where fishing.  How right he was when at 16:45 Paul had a screaming take on his right hand rod which 20 minutes later resulted in a new Lake record of 66 pounds.
